Embossments

Hanji and BFK Rives paper; chine-collé, embossment, acrylic mediums, glitter

The embossments register pressure as a quiet, lived mark rather than a fixed image.
Protrusions and depressions emerge without a singular, legible matrix, leaving the origin of force ambiguous. Existing between sculpture, print, and skin, the paper records contact and resistance, capturing force rather than form. Subtle shifts in tone and texture, activated by natural light, moisture, and weight, allow the surface to remember being pressed, folded, and held.
